We at Zimele believe that Lao Tze got it right. We believe that we can make a transforming and sustainable impact in the life of a person and their family, if instead of just giving them daily handouts, we equip them with the skills and tools to earn the income to meet their own needs. Not only is it more effective, but it also restores the person's dignity.

If we equip a mother, we not only change her life, but we will also transform the lives of her children and future generations

Our goal is to work ourselves out of a job in one community so we can move on and help the next community in need. Do this with enough communities, and who knows, maybe it's not so foolish for us to dream about one day changing the face of South Africa, or even Africa.
